CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

We take responsibility for our partners, employees, society, and the environment.

Corporate Responsibility

At BORG Automotive Group, we take responsibility for our partners, employees, society, and the environment. As a part of the Danish conglomerate Schouw & Co, we work by a general framework (the Responsibility Wheel) that serves to set a clear direction and firm targets for our CSR/ESG efforts. The responsibility wheel has three focal areas: producing efficiently and responsibly, protecting workers and ensuring attractive workplaces, and promoting innovation and strong governance.

Besides, we have defined our ambitions towards 2030:

Limit climate impact of in-house production

We supply products that have less of an environmental impact than new parts, but we still have a negative impact on the environment. Going forward to 2030, we aim to reduce our GHG emissions from in-house production by 30% to limit the environmental impact of BORG Automotive Group.

LCAs on Reman products

In order to assess the impact of global warming and resource depletion, we have commissioned life cycle assessments on all our product groups from BORG Automotive Reman. We want to know exactly how our products affect the environment and what savings our customers can contribute to by buying reman instead of newly produced products.

Caring for employees

Caring for the well-being of our employees and their local communities is an important priority and a natural part of our company. Safety at work and employee satisfaction are, therefore, two major focal areas for the period to 2030.

Employee satisfaction

We aim to increase employee satisfaction by 5% over the next five years. Our social care policy means that we consider every employee unique and valuable, and our focus on employees’ well-being includes their family life and health.

Lost Time Incident Frequency Rate

We aim to reduce the LTIFR by 30% by 2025. We are continuously allocating resources for the purpose of reducing the LTIFR going forward.

Our Journey

At BORG Automotive Group, we currently have a great focus on data collection in order to build a data-driven culture related to our sustainability and responsibility efforts. Data collection will be used to document our journey and help us prioritise which tasks will have the most impact on reaching our goals.

In the period to come, we have decided to focus on the following tasks:

  • CSRD (FY 2024)
  • Scope 3
